Description: Curie was surrendered to the Humane Society along with her brother, who has since been adopted. They were born to an owner's cats accidentally and came here to wait for their forever homes. Curie has been with us at the shelter for about five months and at time seems to still be very scared of the world. Happily, we've been able to place her in an experienced foster home for assessments and socialization over the next few months. Her foster mom has plenty of information to share about her temperament and behavior. At this point in Curie's development, her foster mom Lee has noticed that she doesn't get along well with either very young kittens or elderly cats (the super-high energy of young kittens bothers her, but her relatively high energy bothers older cats), she doesn't like to be picked up and held close (she'll solicit you for attention on her own), she doesn't like to be petted on her back (she prefers head scratches), and she doesn't like wide, open spaces (high places and corners in which to hide make her feel safe).
